Putting R154 in 93 Sc300
So I got an r154 out of a Drift Chassis Soarer and I am trying to put it in my 93 Sc300. I know there are a lot Of post and diy's but I still have questions.
1.When getting the hardware for clutch do I buy parts for a 7MGE or 7MGTE? (Slave cylinder, etc)
2. Will my w58 shifter assembly bolt onto the r154 and line up correctly in the car?
3. Lastly putting the r154 in it seems the mechanisms are all backwards from my w58. Clutch fork etc. How do I address this?

2. Yes, your 92-94 SC300 W58 shifter assembly will fit this transmission and line up correctly IF it is a 1991-1993 Soarer R154 transmission with the factory extension housing. If it is a later 1994+ Soarer "tripod" R154 it will not fit.
3. The mechanisms are different between the W58 and R154. One is push and the other is pull. Follow the MKIII Supra Turbo 5-speed TSRM for the procedure for clutch installation and removal. Key is using the access plates on the bell housing to unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel BEFORE unbolting the transmission from the engine block.
