Does anyone have the OE part number for the stock LSD in the Supra TT auto that is known to fit the SC400? I have done some searching, and found part number: 41110-14770, but it seems that number is for the entire assembly (differential, pumpkin, etc). I want to re-use my ring gear, etc, to keep the stock gearing, so I just need the differential itself. If anyone has a line on a good used one, I would definitely be interested in going that route, but I hear they are pretty rare, and I would rather have a new part, as long as the price isn't outrageous (I know new will be expensive, but hopefully not insane). Also, if anyone happens to have the part number for the ring gear bolts (I believe they are TTY), that would be appreciated as well, but I'm sure I can find that, when the time comes.

(I know there are aftermarket clutch type diffs for the SCs, but I'd much rather have a torsen diff.)

SJC2467 -- If Toyota still has the MKIV TT Auto and NA (yes those had an optional Torsen) available it will indeed not be cheap and might actually be an insane price. I do think it is the entire pumpkin assembly only. You can try asking Curt Aigner on the Elmhurst Toyota subsection on SF for a quote. He's fast and he'll let you know if it's even available any longer.

Yes, they are fairly rare. But they do show up occasionally because at around 500whp it is far safer to switch to a TRD 2-way clutch LSD. That is often why you see them for sale at all.

Aside from that what most of us do (myself included) is scour the SF forum classifieds for a TT Auto Torsen LSD (pumpkin or just the LSD) or make a WTB ad there. They sell FAST so you have to jump on a deal when you find one. I missed out on many, many deals by mere hours and sometimes tens of minutes. But I was persistent and was lucky to jump on an entire LSD pumpkin for $650 picked up (drove across a state to get it) but usually the ballpark is $900-$1000 for a full pumpkin that is *verified* with pictures to have the Torsen LSD or $600 or so for a Torsen LSD sans pumpkin.

I understand you'd like a new one over a used one and that's understandable but the 200mm T-1 Torsens from the MKIV are very strong and as long as they haven't been subjected to seriously wallet-draining horsepower (700whp+) and have seen regular fluid changes they will last a long time. A seller should provide good pictures of the worm gears if he's asking regular used market value.

As noted above you can also source out a Torsen LSD that was an extremely rare option (because few people ordered it-- it was always available) on MKIV 5-speed & Auto NA's. It's the same LSD but with higher final drive ratios (4.272 and 4.083).
