yeah that is a good point if one were to to have to build an ITB building a plenum around it would be a nice feature so you can turbo it. 1 throttle body seems to do the job for most and if you have boost then throttle response really doesn't matter that much anyways but I feel the 2jz is already fine in that department it revs happier than most other 3L motors.

Hmm, yeah for now I can settle with a 300-350 just so when ricers try to show off I can drop their panties real quick but I do want around 500-650 nothing too crazy. So to keep it clear w58 can handle around 300-350 right? Then once I want to go to a higher hp just upgrade to an r154 with a good clutch. AHHH so many possibilities and I just need to make it happen. I'm new to all this man, last and final question. Can I use my stock intake manifold for the na-t with low boost and which brand should i start off with since I only want enough power to make my w58 withstand it? Sorry to bother you guys with these questions

^^ Yes, a W58 will handle that power... but you can't slam the gears or do hard launches from a stop and expect it to live. Be nice to it and it will handle it. R154... different story.

Also keep in mind that you're in Cali and 91 octane is the highest you'll have available at the pump. There is a significant difference between 91 and 93 octane fuel in terms of how much power you can get from it as-is.

And in addition to that, just be aware that you've got smog to deal with and even a stock EGR'd USDM 2JZGTE engine will have some trouble getting to 500hp with both catalytic convertors, 91 octane, and the stock turbochargers maxing at 18psi and the issue of a front mount intercooler not exactly being legal these days unless it has a specific CARB number (If you know about "Appendix K" of the smog manual already-- I've looked into this and they want CARB numbers now, which you won't find anywhere for an aftermarket Supra FMIC). The fuel system on a USDM will max at around 500hp I think. Hitting 650hp... that's single turbo, dyno tuning, and E85 fuel with an AEM V2 or ProEFI territory.

Now that said, I've ridden in an 2JZGTE single-turbo SC300 modified exactly to that spec (650whp I think). It was ludicrous. And it was out west.

On the stock-*looking* end you can also try the STU Hagen USDM twin upgrade which can support up to 600-650hp but it's a good $3,000-$4,000 for that particular turbo service and is, again, useless unless you're running 100 octane race gas or E85 with a custom tune. SpeedForSale in Georgia offers that upgrade.

Dotting every "i" and crossing every "T" with a legal swap (which is also expensive-- ask me how I know) you can get 350whp give or take.

Man it must be nice to live where there are no carb legal laws. I'm looking into going na-t. Once i start this project I will post up a link and pictures to a different thread. Thanks a lot for the clarifications

^^ LOL. Actually I lived in Cali for five years and bought my SC there. I moved east but I am literally a couple of days away from moving back to the land of smog testing hell with this car, which is still non-turbo to stay legal. I've been collecting pieces of a USDM TT swap engine for months now to do it the way the BAR people want it done.

Florida has no smog testing, sure, but since I've planned to move back with this vehicle that fact gives me no advantages

No problem, man. There is plenty of help here on the topic and there are several ways to go NA-T. Good luck!
