If you get new ARP stud kit they will come with the washers. you will just need the headgasket from the dealer, and possibly the top end gaskets like the valve cover gaskets, etc.. that may be too worn to re-use.

Do Not use arp washers if you are going to Boost this motor later down the road.

They will dig into you cylinder head, the washer are smaller than factory washer..with some boost the head will lift.

As the other guy said do not use them , just use your stock cylinder head bolts Washers they work great , no need to buy a new sets.

I've have heard of this before on Supraforums......but either stock washers or arp will be fine....he is not going to at the power levels where it will make a difference and the majority of this info about the washers is on high HP GTE's (800-1000hp)...Many people have used them without a problem.....

I Have pictures of arp washer problems with 400whp. just dont even use arp washers period.

Reuse the stock set, there is not need to replace stock washers with new oem either.

Very glad to learn this from you guys. An ARP head bolt set is coming up soon on my parts list. Is there any reason to avoid the ARP bolts themselves in favor of a new set of stock head studs, washers and nuts?

I think the studs are the upgraded part. the washers I guess it not working due to size. I think mine has all the the ARP washers except for 1 that was lost so factor one was reused on that one.

^^ Got it, thanks Ali. I'll plan to order a set of OEM washers then. The ARP studs must take their own type of nuts.

you can also just reuse the washers that come out of your engine. the stock bolts arguably stretch, but the washers are good to go again.

little update.
ARP studs ordered from ebay. $147. Head gasket picked up from a buddy that works at Toyota for $143. I hope I get a few more nice days so I can get this done. I will be reusing my oem washers. Had another buddy cnc machine 2 egr block plates. and the ABS and Traction is completely gone now. Took all wheels off and put it on jack stands. Found a little surprise on the rear passenger side. check it out. lol

never seen anything like that before. rotor must have seen a lot better days, like a while ago.
should be a good build. I would have left the abs but I have had a few cars without it as well that were fun.

Wow. I've had a rear caliper seize on one of my previous cars but never a total rotor hat separation from the disc.
