Default 95' sc400 serpentine idler pulley question.

I am getting a squeal from the idler pulley [confirmed by taking the belt off and whirling the pulley].

I am weighing my options.

Take the pulley off and press out the old bearing an press in a new one. There is no access to the outer race so any force that can be applied will have to be to the inner. I dont plan to reuse the bearing so it might work (assuming it is lightly pressed in).

Replace the pulley. OEM or after market. [I will go for OEM price difference is not huge]

Another problem:

When I look at the parts picture there is a plate between the bolt head and the pulley. My car does not have one and the bolt is directly on the bearing.

How important is the plate?

Should I just put a collar on the bolt the size of inner of the bearing?
