Default easy fix for squeaky door panels

Recently, my door panels began squeaking from road vibrations. I'm not sure exactly why or when it began, but I first noticed it after removing and reinstalling the seats. That's presumably coincidental, but it had me initially feeling around the seats for anything loose.

The passenger door had it worst, which made it difficult to determine where it was coming from while driving... I eventually determined that it was the map pocket / arm rest / door pull area, based on it being much less noticeable when nothing was in the pocket.

A bit of pushing, pulling, and prodding had me confused why there was so much play in the panel, let alone any. I looked at the two big screws angled up under the arm rest and sure enough, they were quite loose. With them tightened up, everything's nice and quiet again! The driver's side screws were only a tiny bit loose, which would explain its squeaks being much less severe.

I know I tightened those screws up last time I had the panels off, so I'm assuming they loosened on their own. If it happens again, I'll put a bit of thread lock on.

Hi Lead lap,

can you please describe where those two screws are? I am having similar squeaks from door arm rest and they happen when put pressure on that arm rest/ door grabing area.

I understand it is not from main door panel it is the arm rest panel rubbing/squeaking against the main door panel.

"Lead lap?"

If you've ever/never taken the door panels (cards) off, there's only two screws under the arm rests, angled up about 45 degrees toward the windows, one at either end of the pocket. Kneel down and look up into the pocket, and you can't miss them.
