Ignition Timing on SC400
'93 SC400
I know the V8 SC400 has dual distributors & dual coil packs with each serving 4 cylinders (two on each side each). Since the ECU on these older models is not as "intelligent" as the modern design ECU units (such as those 1996 and later OBDII units), how is the ignition timing set (or adjusted) on this engine? Is the ECU still performing this function or is it set "old style" by adjusting distributor position? If so, how do you do that since there are dual distributors to contend with?
Although I did a forum search on the SC400 for "ignition timing", I didn't find anything that jumped out at me as an answer. If I missed it, can someone point me to a discussion/thread?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
