Default 1UZ spark plug torque?

On LexLS tutorials it says 13 lbs. I've followed his guides before without problems, and he has detailed specs there stating "13 ft-lbs (180 kg-cm, 18 N m)", but a guy I just spoke to said 13 inches not lbs.... He however said triple check before torquing it to 13lbs as he thought it was a lot.

Anyone have solid info for me? Not trying to ruin my perfectly maintained engine. Just seafoamed everything however so I need to swap plugs. I haven't purchased shop manuals yet.

NGK says 18-21 lb/ft for my platinum plugs, which is even higher...

If you're worried about getting the threads stuck, use the anti-seize goo that comes with them. It does help against them getting stuck due to corrosion.

Well I torqued them to 13lbs, and that seemed like a lot to me for a spark plug. Thanks for the responses. I was just worried when someone told me it's not 13 ft-lbs that it's 13 inches. Big difference.
