Default Supra or Aristo trans in my SC300?

My trans is slipping from time to time. Some days it works great, some days it starts slipping within a half mile or so of leaving my house. I have a 1JZ to put in it and I'm collecting parts here and there, and am strongly considering just staying auto for ease of driving around w/o having to shift gears in traffic and all that.

Would I be able to install a Supra TT or Aristo TT trans in my SC300 and drive my car until I swap the 1JZ in? I know I'd need to swap the flexplate and torque converter over to the 1JZ so it'd bolt up and run with the Supra trans but will the early 90s SC300 run the transmission just fine or are there different sensors or something that just won't communicate properly with the car?

With the stock n/a 2jz ecu the trans will not shift properly, the controls are different from the n/a a340 and the turbo a341. You could shift it manually, but kind of defeats the purpose of an auto trans.
