Default 95 SC400 stuck in park, no power windows, roof, or steering Please Help

95 SC400...I have checked all fuses. Also tried to swap out stoplight switch. Cant seem to find an answer and was praying that someone here has had this same issue.

Your car is just turned off, start it and enjoy

Sorry man, I'm sure the last thing you need is a jokester...

Check the big alternator fuse and the alternator. Is there a power steering leak? That leaks onto the Alternator and could cause this issue perhaps. Have the Alt seriously checked out.

Do you have brake lights? (brake light switch)

Will the car start? I don't think it can get out of park unless it starts. If it is running, it could be your Neutral Safety switch fuse as well. If you popped the Alt fuse, find that issue immediately. You could burn your car up.

I've never tried it, but sticking the key in that little slot above and to the left of the shifter is supposed to release the Park lock. I don't know if it'll do anything to help the no-starting issue, but maybe it'll have a positive cascading effect...

It does, I've had (part of) that issue once. A brake light mod popped the fuse and I was stuck in park. That slot got me out of park.

It seems like the issue is related to the power steering. Got the fuses out and replaced them. Power Roof, Windows, and steering all worked. As soon as I turned the car the fuses popped and windows, steering, and roof all went out again?????

It's blowing the fuses each time you start the car? Or does "turned the car" mean turned the steering wheel, as opposed turning on the car?

The only thing I can think is, you've got a short somewhere in the wiring and turning the wheel is making bare wires contact each other, blowing fuses. That could be pretty much anywhere on the front half of the car, though.

Default Update

had to end up taking car to Lexus dealer hoping they could locate the issue. After two days up there we still have no answers. The dealership cant get the fuses to blow after cleaning some of the connections. IM praying for a call to come pick up the vehicle with no extra costs. They wanted $1100 to fix my broken lock mechanism on passenger side( I said no thanks). More to come.

I wouldn't think you need a Lexus dealer for that level of diagnosis, but there's some peace of mind in going that route.

Default Found It

Turns out the wires were cut to remove the phone from center console. The wires finally touched and shorted out the fuses. Dealer removed the wiring from the car so we should be good to go now.

I need to solve interior door handle issue next.

Thanks for the help guys!

Glad you solved it. Any idea how/why turning the wheel would have caused wires to touch in the center console? That seems pretty coincidental. Vibration through the transmission is about the only thing I can think of.
