Tornado Fuel Gizzmo
Has anyone tried the tornado fuel saver on their SC400? The one they're always banging on about on TV. Supposed to increase BHP by as much as 20.

I would say NO WAY you would see anywhere near that much gain. It's a gimmick from what I have heard. It doesn't do anything but sit there and might actually cut down on the air flow.
I did read some reviews about a year ago from users that had tried it and most said that they couldn't tell any gains from it.
The one thing that might give you a boost for little money is the BFI. I will be doing this in the near future and I can see how this mod would work to give some gains. I will be doing some exhaust work also at the same time. The stock exhaust is pretty restrictive on the SC from what I have heard.
If you do the BFI and some exhaust mods you should feel the change. I know I am getting off the subject but just trying to give you some ideas to get better HP on the cheap.
Good luck and if you do decide on buying that thing let us know what it does for you.

Have you read the write up by Peter Scott?
I would recomend reading the entire process. He really did a good job on this IMO. I think he said his increase was around 15-17 HP. His is a 3 chambered system to knock out water and debris while providing maximum air flow. Even if the HP gains are only 1/2 of what he projected it's still well worth it IMO. I don't know of a cheaper way to make HP.
I would recomend that anyone interested do a search on the BFI and read it all.
BTW I think he tried several types of the BFI before he got it right.

If you do decide to buy it,let us know how it works out. I don't know anyone that has tried it on our cars. I have seen them on ebay for cheap.I have also seen one similar but has an electric fan for around $50-$60 bucks. They all claim good HP gains and maybe on some engines they do work.
Good luck

I told you what I thought and I was not joking.
There's a guy work's down the chip shop swears he's Elvis (actually it's the tyre house and his name is Rob), but he reckons the electric turbocharger fitted to the inlet of his Peuguot 306 gives him loads more power, this is the same tyre fitter who told me he could get 265/40 tyres on my 7.5" rims !
As long as morons keep buying this stuff, someone will sell it to them, I just aint got the heart to take advantage.
PS, anyone want to buy my timeshare in Spain?

Engines make more power/airflow by eliminating restrictions in the intake tract,I have gone to some effort myself to achieve this effect.
The Tornado people might try ingesting one of their own products instead, might help with intestinal gas problems.
