1JZ custom patch harness, or just splice/solder?
I did quite a bit of reading yesterday on the wiring work needed to put a Soarer 1JZ/harness into my SC300. I've seen most people say splice/solder, or drill holes in a new area and don't worry about having to splice/solder, and some people just leave half of the harness alone and just let the ECU dangle where it may. I'm sure my idea has been tried before or whatever, but what would be any different about splice/soldering a billion different wires than having Boomslang or some other patch harness maker custom making a 21" patch harness to snap in place between the harness and ECU?
If that won't work like I'm thinking, I don't mind splice/soldering, just trying to figure up a clean alternative.

Yeah, apparently most patch harnesses are only 10" or so, hence Boomslang making one 21" long. Its something ill keep weighing options with since some plugs do still need to be addressed. Depends heavily on their asking proce for custom work.

You might as well extend the entire harness for a clean look. Like Vrank said youll have to extend the body plugs anyways. Anyone who is letting their ecu dangle i would say is pretty darn lazy.
