98 SC400 Knock Sensor HELP
Greetings folks!
year long member, but this is my first "productive" post (if you can call it that)
Much apologies from the start because i'm sure this is a dead horse for a lot of you. I am going to be replacing my knock sensors in the next couple weeks. I have been searching & searching all over this forum and cannot seem to come up with a DIY for it. I know the general line of attack, but was hoping to find a dumbified step-by-step for the 1uz... I am going to turn this into a pretty good tune-up time but was wondering....
what other parts HAVE to be replaced during this repair?
is it just the intake manifold gaskets, sensors, & sensor pig-tails(harness)?
what are the "its a good idea" parts to be replaced? ( i saw someone mention the starter, but i dont have a starter issue)
any special tools? pullers or crazy-angled wrenches, etc
THANKS for all those that took the time to read this babble! By all means... call me newbie and cyber-backhand me, just as long as it comes with a link!
