Default o2 idea for 1jz

So basicaly my downpipe dosnt have the 1j oem 2 bolt o2 , it has a regular threaded o2 bung . I was thinking.. instead of geting a flange welded to my downpipe to allow for the 2 bolt o2, what if i get a universal 3 wire o2 and splice it in? That way i can use the regular o2 bung. The o2 needs to be extended anyways so it have to be cut.

I cut the old o2 and wire im the universal o2 to the factory plug so its a plug n play.

Has anyone tried this before? I have fixed friends cars with universal o2s and its worked.

Get a Denso universal. I have switched from the 2 bolt to screw in type with the toyota ecu's and it works just fine.

Cheap option was late model 5.0 mustang sensor. They're around $20 if you get one without the pigtail. They screw right in.
