What would you do? Swap an engine into a 300 or manual tranny into 400?

I dont wanna start an arguement over 2jz vs 1uz, but if you're talking na-t. It has been done on 1uz's pretty easily. The 1uz has an easy spot to tap for oil pressure, it's ecu will allow about 6lbs boost before needing to fiddle with tuning (15lbs on piggyback is not unheard of), to create a manifold all you need to do is reverse the factory headers and build a y pipe. Compression too high? You can drop it (cometic has multiple thicknesses of headgasket on their website). Need more fuel? There are multiple proven steps to get more fuel using oem injectors. Strength of the motor? A stock block (unopened) has seen 640 whp daily, and there are more case of people making that kind of power poppping up.
The simple answer is this: the car that already has the manual will be cheaper if you want a manual. But... If you find a clean sc4 for a good amount cheaper than the equivalent sc300 manual, it might be worth picking up the 400 and modifying it.
Rant over...
Ok, you say the paint on the sc3 is kinda ghetto? What about the rest of the car? Generally you want to wait to find a well taken care of sc, it's worth the upfront to find a clean one then to do all the maintenance later. Low miles is good, clean interior and exterior is good, dealer receipts are like gold. Find a good, minty car. Also, remember, you have the power of haggling. Use that power to your advantage.
