Default Transmission problem please help.

I have a 93 Lexus sc300 with the 2jzgte twin turbo engine and transmission swap the car has been running good for about one year. Last night I was driving a lost my gears and had to stop, turn off the car and back on and the car would would run fine for a couple off minutes and the same thing kept happening any ideas.
Checked my transmission oil and is good don't know what else to check.

Trying the car this morning and the same thing is happening.
I hear a grinding sound when I start the car, not in the engine but down by the tranny any chance it could be the torque converter?

if you hear a whine from the tranny then it may be your solenoids. Mine would run fine for 3 -5 minutes then pop out of gear. I changed the filter while i was down there and the solenoids which weren't that expensive ($100) plus the filter ($20 with the gasket)
