Hey Guys,

has anyone here figured out how to fool the ECU into thinking that the sub throttle position sensor (traction control throttle) is OK (code 47) or the fuel pump ECU is OK (Code 78)?

i found some mention of a resistor trick for the sub throttle position sensor but cannot find definitive info on it. if anyone here has screwed around with it and knows the fix, post up!

cheers
Marko

I have 100% done the resistor trick on the sub tps on a 97mk4 that made 970 on an fcon, fcon was to piggy the stock ecu to pass obd2 emissions. Had a virtual works intake and 100mm tb so this was the route I took. I'll try to look through some old phones as I had it in the notes section. I do remember it was quite a bit higher ohms than the usual 1.1k that works for the other stuff like waste gate vsv's and such.

As for the fuel pump ecu, I've been thinking that a newer model fuel pump ecu that works on a different voltage range might work. From what cars, not sure. But I'd bet its a possibility.

what i ended up getting is a newer GS300 fuel pump ecu, and i wired it up but the thing is always on when ignition is on, and i see no signals coming from the ECU, so i definately have a fuel pump ecu-less system right now even though the fuel pump ecu is in there (it acts like it is bypassed, full voltage at fuel pump)

time to start looking for a chaser in australia or japan that is wrecked lol
