Default how to de-pin EB1 connector?

Hey Guys,

i am using an SC300 partial harness and need to depin the center wire on the EB1 connector to put a bigger one on (my sc400 has a 10 or 12 gauge wire going into it, while the sc300 has a 14 or so gauge coming out.)

anyone know how these plugs come apart? and the part number for a pin? or anyone have this plug for an SC400 lying around for 10$ with a pigtail, i will just buy it and use that instead.

thanks,
Marko

learning to de-pin can be a challege, but also annoying if you dont have the right tools or knowledge. you need 2 sets of tools, a pick and a very tiny flate head screwdriver. on the plug if you look at it from the FEMALE side there should see something white. that white plastic piece holds the pins partially together. you want to move or pick that out completely or out of the way. some will allow you to do both. once you moved it you will be able to see a very small clip. you will need to lift that clip up with your small flate head screw driver and then pull the wire... i depin 3/4 of a complete sc400 interior wiring harness before. =)

Am sure I have pictures on my laptop.... give me a bit ... I am not in Atlanta to take pictures of the harnesses I have.

take out that gray top cover of the pins as shown here by prying it upward from the side or by pulling it with a long nose... be careful.

then you will see the lock of each pin on each side.. pry the lock and pull the wire
