None of us made a how-too because it is such a pita. I think I'm at around 20 hours if wet sanding and close to finished (started in the fall). If you can pay a shop to do it do it, trust me it is worth every Penney.
Since my car is my daily, I ised tape to hold them together most of te winter till about a month ago a cop snagged me on illegal headlight mod. So I used hot glue to shut them. I was living in a bad situation when I started and had to do the work in two hour increments over te weekends. I moved into an apartment and once the weather breaks (winter from hell here) I'll have a full weekend to get it done.
If you want I'll post what pics I did take once I get to my laptop. Not many took since wet frog fingers no work well on iphone
300g on a mouse sander is perfect to remove the lines but it'll leave permanent gashes that require about an hour at 600g before moving on to 1000g then 1500g then 2000g follows by rubbing compound and ultimately polishing compound. The most time consuming portion is when u think u hit it enough at a certain grit then move in only to find out at the polishing stage u missed some scratches then you gotta start all over again
Oh also a big be careful, my passenger light had a chip in it I thought I could sand out but I ruined it, also on the other side I leaned to hard on the lens over the sink and it left a lump il need to sand out as well.
Hope that helps :/
