Default UZ - Small lines on top

So, I've noticed most people don't have these/removed them. The small lines leading from the TB and whole metal contraption. Some on mine are broken or missing. Is it a good idea to ditch the whole thing? I did that while my car is up, and want to make sure it's fine. I did reconnect one or two lines that weren't from the TB.

Those are ventilation lines if I'm not mistaken, it keeps the engine idling perfect. People don't remove them, the routing just varies from year to year. 92-94 have those lines routed right in front of the intake manifold with the metal lines. And 95-96 have lesser lines and are routed over the top of the intake manifold.

Thanks for the info. I like the cleaner look and rerouted the lines that weren't from the TB - most of the TB were pretty much trashed so it probably helped to just plug it up.

I just removed my TB and intake plenum. Had to remove at least a half dozen rubber lines. I sure as hell hope I remember where they all go when I reinstall after the refinishing.
