Default Crimper tools and butt connectors

A forum member asked me to post the crimper tool. It's a Greenlee crimper model K2-1 B GL: http://www.zoro.com/greenlee-kwik-cy...g&gclsrc=aw.ds

It crimps 6, 8, 10-12, 16-14, and 22-18 awg connectors. I've also used it on 4 awg terminal lugs for power and ground wires.

The butt connectors shown above are Scotchlok MU18BCX (22-18 AWG) and MU18BCX (16-14 AWG).

Thanks,
-scott

I am very impressed with the details, I'm gonna save this thread I know I will be useful. I am looking for the connector to the neutral safety switch the dealer says that there is a five digit part number on this connector, mine is broken too badly. I have a 93 sc 400. Can you help?

Please call Parts department of Elmhurst Toyota in IL. They are very helpful. Let them know what you need and should be able to help you.

Tell then you need the Park / Neutral safety switch connector of the Supra MKIV TT transmission or the A340e transmission .

Before you call Elmhurst, I suggest having all part numbers in hand ready to go. You can find all Toyota connector types here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...13370389,d.eWE

Thanks for replying to my DM Gerrb, I am following your thread to extend my harness. Non-VVTI single turbo Aristo/R154 to 1997 SC3 Auto.

Starting with a hacked up Aristo Harness and a Manual SC300 harness (year unknown) - pretty sure its OBDII tho.

Couple things I am confused on.

1) The Data Link connector you mentioned through out the thread it the Black Diagnose port on the intake manifold I am assuming, I can't find the pin out for that for the life of me.

2) On my SC300, beneath the fuse box, toward the battery side, there is a 2 pin Grey plug (on top), and a 2pin black plug (bottom), I took them out of the GE harness, Any idea what they are for?

3) For the speed sensor, on your post, I think you took out all the wires to the auto transmission? Are we suppose to keep the 3 pin speed sensor and also the 2 pin reverse sensor?

4) For the shield wires (knock, crank, cam), I think I might have missed yr guide on how to extended them. I read that there is a shielded wire section? What is the best way to go about this? Do we need to run a new shield wire?

Thanks!

1) Diagnostic Port - Check from post 45 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...de-easy-3.html . Yes it is the black diagnostic port near the intake manifold

2) Can you post a picture of those two connectors so I know exactly what you are referring to. You probably are referring to the power steering plug and the alarm plug .

3) On this documentation I did two harnesses , one with auto and one without .. that is why I mentioned that it is better to keep some of them for future use if you are using a manual transmission

4) Anything shielded should be extended with a shielded wire also since some of those sensors are very sensitive to interference.

Thanks!! I got all of them sorted out. For #2 I wasn't referring to the the power steering or the alarm plug that was fitted to the horn, I was mistaken on these two plugs not on the harness.

For the 3 pin no.1 speed sensor, I got them sorted out, if I am reading my car's diagram correctly. p1 of the speed sensor goes to IJ1-10 for power, p2 (red wire) goes to IK1-6, and p3 (blue/red) goes to IK1-7. (for the input to the 40pin, IJ2-3 to pin 2 of the 40pin connector)

For the NSW and the Starter, Does this look correct? I am just connecting EB1-3 split to IJ1-6 and Pin 77 (STA), I removed the NSW pin and the whole A/T indicator plug.

Correct ... you don't need NSW since you are going manual transmission

I think I ran into another problem. I wired the round alternator plug p1 to EB2-1, p2 to IJ1-5 and p3 to IJ2-13. However, my car is 97 and I have the oval plug. I read my car's wiring manual and it seems like the plug is on the body harness and connected directly to the fuse box. Should I use the oval plug and leave the round plug alone? I have the round plug, plugged in atm and I don't see the battery light coming on however.

If I were you , I will use the engine bay alternator wiring that connects directly to the fuse box.

What alternator are you using ? The oval connectors usually are used by TT alternators and round connectors are usually used by lower amp alternators from the 2JZGE

that is why I will use the alternators with oval connectors since they have higher amperages.

BUT if the in harness alternator wiring is wired correctly you can also use it .

I actually have both the Oval (from the stock 1997) and the Round plug Alternator from my old car.
