Default 92 2jz

Is a 92 2jz and a 97+ 2jz gte compatible? If I buy parts for my 92 like intake fuel rail and exhaust cam gear etc... Will that all bolt right on to the 97 ?

I don't see why they wouldn't, unless I am not thinking clearly here.

I just don't want to buy a bunch of stuff for this motor if it's completely useless when I don't the gte swap. Thank you for replying. I'm new to the car game and could use some assistance in what brands and general information about building this motor.

If you're asking if the 2jzge stuff transfers over to 2jzgte, then no. It doesn't.

So my stock 92 2jz exhaust and intake manifolds and fuel rail won't work on the gte?

if you're "new to the car game" you should probably start with a honda unless you have a too much money problem, otherwise you'll probably end up driving a honda in the future with a lot less assets than before the lexus.
