Default chaser 1jz vvti into 92 sc400

Hey Guys,

i have been in a slow process of getting a chaser 1jz vvti installed into my 92 sc400, and i extended all the ecu wires by 20 inches, but inside the car none of the stock receptacles need to be accepting of the plugs that come on the chaser harness. Here is a picture. I know people here have done it but i have not read in any threads that i need to replug the harness. is that what i need to do?

still gotta figure out where to tap into wires for the other two ECU plugs that are blank now too.

thanks for any input!

Its gonna be a **** ton of work making this happen out of only the chaser harness. Shoulda merged the chaser harness with the stock sc harness. I actually just finished one of these. You really need to pull it all back out for it to be done properly. Otherwise its gonna look like crap and possibly function similar.

PS: between chassis', there are nearly no crossover body plugs that will work in another app. None that I can think of off the top of my head, and if there are, the pinout certainly won't be correct. Hopefully they have the correct pin type so it can be repinned into the needed plug, but from where I'm sitting right now, you have an extremely large amount of work cut out for you on the harness alone, still.

pulling the harness back out is no problem, but that is kind of what i was afraid of. Dangit!

i guess i need to find an SC400 in a junkyard and cut it out under the dash to merge it with my chaser harness eh? time to study wire diagrams.

i am starting to wish i didn't go with an sc400 for this project, even though selling the stock harness/motor for some money seemed like a good idea.

yep, went and got a harness out of an sc300 in the junkyard and blended the two harnesses together. its a ***** of a job

here is the cheat sheet i made, make sure you have an FSM. sc300/sc400 have slightly different wiring, for anyone else who wants to reference the below.
