Default 2JZGTE VVTI questions

Im getting my parts list together now and I have a few questions for the guys that have already been through this process.

#1. I am keeping the JDM auto that comes with the motor set and its going into an auto car. Will I have to have a custom drive shaft or will I be able to use the one I have.

#2. Since I have a JDM motor will the turbo outlets be the same as the USDM. Just curious as to if the USDM downpipe will mate up to it properly.

Also any precautions or info that would help in the swap would be greatly appreciated.

If the auto is going into an sc400 you should be fine on the drive shaft. I seem to recall the dp being different on jdm models, small search will help you. There are many options.

The flange iirc is different , its a Y still flange but the newer still one may work from the 99-2000 SC400.

For example even gs guys that swap these engines in their GSs they get the swap with the front half because the GS front half will not work im not usre why..

Sorry it took me so long to get back on here, I was on vacation. The car is a 97 SC300 Auto tranny. So when ordering the DP I will have to order one for a JDM VVTi specific motor?
