Default 1jz LC1 narrowband signal to ecu

I'm looking to eliminate the stock o2 on my 1jz since I hate to put two sensor bungs in the downpipe if it's not needed. I think that I can use the lc1 narrowband output to feed the ecu, but can I just leave the heater circuit unplugged(open), or will the ecu throw a code?

You lost me. Are you talking about leaving the stock o2 hooked up? Like, let it just hang somewhere?

I will be giving it a shot once my car is running. I am hoping to have it ready by this weekend, but that will depend on parts showing up.

odb1 usually shows the heater code, but only when you jumper the pins, at least on my aristo ecu the heater code is not one that just comes up all the time, but if I jumper it I can see it, so just see how it goes.

on another note, I am not sure how well the narrowband function will work, but let us know how it goes I am interested to find out. I once tried to do the same with a aem wideband but it wasn't correcting right for some reason, but I could have wired something wrong, you never know with these things, trial and error for the most part.

there is also a resistor you can put on the heater circuit to make the code go away if you do get it. I forget the specific resistance but it used to be on a thread on club-nat related to the tt ecu mod, but that forum has been down for a while. someone has discussed it in the tt ecu thread but I can't seem to find it right now but it does exist.

Thanks Ali. I will let you know how it works. I really hate to run two O2s if I can help it, so I hope it works well.

good luck, in the end I just run the 2, one heated for the stock ecu and one wideband.
I keep the wideband closer to the turbo, and the regular one further down. no issues and if you have on in there having another one further down won't create that much more restriction.
If you had both of them in the same spot side by side (same cross section), well yeah that would def double the amount of restriction.

Just FYI, I drove my car around all day today with the LC1 narrow band signal sent to the ECU. The car seems to run fine, and no CEL. Now, whether the ECU is storing a code for the heater or not I dont know...

AFRs are perfect. I'm too lazy to check for codes, but there is no CEL. I have run two full tanks through it now over several days. I think it's good to go
