Default evap purge valve

Can anyone describe where this part is located? I assume it's close to the canister.

Hmmm. My canister is by the passenger side firewall and tank is in the trunk. Are there two of these valves?

Lol at sc4o0.

What year/model? If you're throwing evap codes, inspect the gas cap and possibly replace. I've done this on two obd2 4 runners and an lx470 in the last month and neither has had the code since.

It should be directly next to the charcoal canister...if you're gonna replace the purge valve solenoid, re-think. They go out barely ever. It'll be something else. So much more emissions in the SC then you might think.

Well maybe you shouldn't guess. You and sc400 slide are both wrong as the valve next to the charcoal canister is the heater valve vsv. Now its been a while since I've gone over a 400, but fairly certain the evap vsv is located on the engine somewhere as well.

But notice I gave advice based on things I've seen as a tech in the recent past, and then asked for information on the OP's car so I could point him in a more specific direction instead of taking a wild guess with no info provided.

Guesses tend to help those already guessing find themselves in more confusion and headaches.

Are you sure? I recall the Solenoid being directly beside the Canister...

Here is a diagram.
