I'd go with 4.5" to really get a decent flow.

Just youtube it or search on here. BUT if you can't do that. then I'd say 2.25,2.5 and 3 are all decent. Just youtube it. It's a 2JZ...it's kind of difficult to make a 2JZ not sound awesome.

edit: please spot the sarcasm in that first sentence.

Not even giving you a rough time, just look around youtube and hopefully the video will have the specs. And whatever size you go with, just pick a QUALITY muffler and you'll be happy no matter what. As far as performance dont expect much if anything on the low end of the RPM but maybe a little bit higher up in the RPM. I'd say since you're keeping the cat and not doing a header/exhaust combo, you can do a pipe of the same size as the flange which I'm not to sure, or just go with 2.5. Good luck and hopefully you'll let us know what you decide.

Oh and it is also difficult to get a 2JZ to sound ricey. I dont think I've ever heard a ricey 2JZ.

I had 3'' single for a while before going na-t and loved the sound. And going 3'' from the start, will save you from having to "fix" it later when going turbo, even if its a year or longer. Order a 3'' catback for a MK4 Supra, add the 6'' extension, and dont look back, just plan ahead.
