So I called my trans. guy and told him the car was holding 1st gear every time i took off from cold start. He told me to adj. the detent cable looser. I did with no help. Next day I went back to prev. detent location and went tighter 2 turns, no help. Went back to stock location and now its shifting up the gears way to fast, getting shaking in the trans. pulling up to stop, and still shifting hard into first even though im idling at 950. Im assuming I need to clean IAC to bring idle down as base idle adj. not helping. So right now Im basically back to before the $400.00 valve repl. I told you we need a auto. trans. support thread.
