Default Jzz30 fan/clutch same as jza80 fan/clutch?

I need a fan, clutch, and pulley for my soarer swap since I am ditching the hydro fan. I know a 2jzgte pulley will work. I also know a soarer clutch and fan will work. My question is, are the jzz30 and jza80 fans and clutches the same?

Thanks jz gurus!

Judging from the fan shroud shapes, a soarer & sc have the same shrouds, meanwhile supra has its own style shroud. Maybe that has something to do with it? Could probably cross reference part #'s for fan & fan clutch.

SC/Soarer and MKIV Supra shrouds align to the same clearance locations with the mechanical fans in both cars. I can't give a solid experienced answer as to the rest.

Clutches are the same but the fans are not.

Bummer! Now I have to either source a Soarer fan, or run electrics. What a PITA

No, source a supra fan. Or to through the junkyard and find something that fits. Wanna say the 7mgte fan is like a ten blade thin fan that fits these clutches.

So the jza80 fan WILL work? Or only a MKIII 7mgte fan will work? I am confused now.

Well if its the same clutch on all cars its safe to assume the fans from the cars will work as well eh

No, that's not a safe assumption. For instance, the sc300 fan is different than the jza80 fan. They both bolt to the same clutch, but only specific combos fit specific engines and shrouds.

a supra mkiv fan will fit. I have a sc300 shroud and fan clutch with a supra fan blade. Works perfectly fine. The 2jzge fan blade will hit the radiator pipe.

Yeah either shroud will work the only difference is the blade itself.

the tt blade moves towards the radiator to clear the upper water pipe , where the na has the upper water pipe on the driver side and goes straight to the radiator.

Any setup will work, unless you have the 6spd belt dampener for the 2JZ-GTE, then you need the supra fan.

That's what I understand from someone who had the clearance issues with the dampener.

^^^ Ge fan blade will not work on gte engine, the fan will not clear the upper radiator pipe and hose.

I have been reading a lot and it looks like the GTE fan will clear with a stock rad, but barely. I'll give it a shot, but it appears an ls400 clutch paired with a 7mge fan is the combo the would work best for me. Keep in mind my car is equivalent to a MKIII Supra, so it is a different animal.

EDIT: Okay, I think I want to try a GE fan setup. I can shim it just a tad and be good to go AFAIK. One day I'll figure out what I want
