Default timing and were should it be at idle

i have a 2jz-ge na-t...
ecu is a black aem standalone...the ecu is loaded with correct settings...i timed the car while i was
cranking...and got it to start...now when it is idling them mark is no longer on the 10 mark its now to the far left 0..during idle?
should the mark on the crank be on 10 mark on the block while its idling...
standalone or not...while the engine is at idle the mark should be the 10 correct?...
and not be to the left during idle?
plz help thanks......

Did you sync timing with aem locking at 10 degrees. Timing at idle should be where car is happy ususally around 12 to 14 degrees but make sure and adjust in adjoining cells to avoid hunting idle and surging

sorry about this post, my brother got onto my account(should start logging out of this).
he wanted to prove me wrong by saying that, after i sync the timing on aem with crankshaft and set it .that it should still be on the 10 and not jump. but i told him that its normal for it to jump once i already set it.

on another note, never heard of adjusting in adjoining cells. can you explain a bit more
