Default 1jz swap does not throw trouble codes

Hello. My brother moved to Japan and gave me his car. He did the swap himself but I don't get any trouble codes when the motor is acting up. The CEL does come on. I bridge TE2 and E1, but it will always repeatedly blink.

It'll misbehave in small ways, randomly, but the car will never throw codes. I even had a bad coolant temp sensor and a mis-wired O2 sensor which didn't show up on the dash. I replaced some leaking caps which helped it run overall, but still no codes.

Does anyone know what pins I should start looking for? Thanks.

Youre doing it wrong. Bridge te1 and e1. Please research.
