how to test an icav

I'm trying to see if my iacv is bad.
So I took it out and hooked up a 12v converter inside my house
Should the motor just spin or should it just move a little then stop? Because its not spinning at all. Thanks

the it should spin as the valve spins to open and close .. if it does nothing , its seized .. i did respond to your pm ,, take 5 off what i pm'd you

I did more testing and It is working when its plugged in the car, I watched it move. thanks for the help

I have a meter but dont know what to look for.
