Pictures, exhaust manifolds and broken engine
For the technically inclined I have posted pictures of the stock 1UZ-FE VvTi exhaust manifolds without the heat shields in the LS section. With the help of a CL member or 2... I am designing some replacement "headers" that will fit in the stock location and bolt up to the catalysts. This is not an overnight effort so don't get too excited but I expect a good power and torque increase accross the board. Anyone with interest is welcome to PM me.

I took the above pics at my Lexus dealer on an engine removed with a BROKEN ROD!!! OUCH...

Chris, I "think" the exhaust flange patten, spacing and size on the head is the same. I will have a set of 90-97 manifolds fairly soon and may have a set of 98-00 for direct comparision. I don't know of anyone that has tried this swap but it should be worth some power if it does in fact bolt up. One thing that may differ is the location of the outlet flange. It is the same shape and looks to be the same size but may be oriented further back from the engine by an inch or so. May be just the pictures I have. I will try to confirm.
