Default Fuel System

I have a 96' Lexus Sc400, and I wanted to swap the stock fuel lines which I believe are a 1/4 inch to 1/2 or 5/8 inch line and was wondering if anyone has done it, is it worth it and if it will even work.

My question is, why swap them?

Whats wrong with them? Corroded from years of E85?
