Default Oil leak from distributor, HELP PLEASE!

Oil is leaking out of my distributor and onto everything under it, including my brand new alternator. I've already tried replacing the o-ring, distributor cap and rotor and it still continues to leak. Please help! I don't know what else to do.. BTW, i have a 93 sc300 auto trans.

It is a leak from where the shaft that holds the gear that meshes with the cam is at. Time to replace it!

really? when i tried to read up about the problem before posting this, i always read that usually just replacing the distributor itself would not stop the leak.. because i changed my o ring, cap & rotor all at once and next day, same leak, all over my alternator. I was hoping i didnt have to replace the distributor itself. i would post pics to show but im not sure how haha

The 2 red circles are places that oil can also leak through and there is no repair for it. If you replaced the oring on the outside and it still leaks then one of these 2 spots are the issue and you will have to replace.

Replace the whole distributor.

It took me 2 alternators before I figured it out.

Unfortunately you have to replace the distributor, no fix for it. Buy a used distributor or a re-manufactured one, that is the only thing you can do!
