Upgrading from Dual Walbro 255's
So, my dual walbro's aren't going to cut it for the power my car is capable of making. The car did 759whp @ 29psi, and could do more but I was losing fuel pressure. I am going for 800whp. I have ID2000 injectors.
I am enlisting the help of the forum on this. I did some searching on multiple forums and the Bosch 044 seems like the best flowing and lowest current draw compared to the Walbro 485. However the size of the 044 makes install into our cars extremely difficult. Talking to some friends at ID and Cobb, I will have to go with even larger wiring for the Walbro 485's. I work on aircraft for a living, wiring is no problem to me.
Anyway, it seems like I will have to either go with the 044 and a very custom hanger, or Walbro 485 and deal with the high current draw...
I don't think a surge tank is an option, as I am not going to give up my trunk for it. Unless there is another way of mounting it.
What's the forum's opinion on this? Thanks for any useful information.

My Walbro's are relayed and hotwired already. So I would just have to upgrade the existing wiring. Do you have an upgraded alternator?

I would recommend the Walbro 400 pumps E-85 compliant and if installed proper will easily support your requirements.
Regarding the amperage requirements just have 1 of the pumps turn on when your reach say 10psi this will help with keeping the fuel cooler and will be easy on the alternator your worried about. IMO!!!

Surge Tank
I ran into the same issue when I got around the 775 rwhp mark with Fuel pressure issues as well. I had a Surge Tank installed and that resolved the Fuel pressure issues, It was a custom one that was designed to fit in my driver side quarter panel behind the trunk carpet so you would never know it's there. If my memory servs me correct, it has to do with the design of our stock tank creating cavitation at High horsepower levels(this is according to my tuner) and that's why he recommended the Surge tank. He's done a few so he's well versed on the topic. I'll post pics later on so you could see exactly what it entails.. Good luck!

wicked , looks pretty but before i run 4 pumps screaming at me for one to fail and not be able to clearly ascertain which one is the culprit , i would suggest doing one walbro 450lph intank feeding to a weldon or the like in line pump activated by boost only . the weldon is a 100% flow thru so anything say under 20 psi the walbro by itself will supply , over that psi walbro feeds the weldon and with that combo with a -8an line from tank to inline and from inline to filter then split into 2 -6an to rail you will be solid for well into the 800's on e
