Default R154 manual swap/Flywheel ???

I purchased a manual swap kit for my 1998 SC400 V8 1UZ / Im looking in to a South Bend clutch.

What make and model fly wheel out of what car is compatible with SC400 1UZ V8 R154 trans.

I need to order this clutch and I guess go with a oem pressure plate..

Scared about this swap I know it's a can of worms on a 1998..

No part # on the flywheel not aluminum ...

I have called Toyota V8 but have not heard back . Thanks

Ok I combined your 2 threads.

1. Do not post multiple threads for the same topic.

I can't figure out if you are asking what flywheel to order or that you have the flywheel in the kit and don't know which clutch to order.
If you got the flywheel on that website it says right on the flywheel page, "Compatable with both 3VZ and 3SGTE pressure plates. (tons of options!)"
so that means you would get a 3vz or 3sgte pressure plate. Clutch not positive on probably a r154 clutch.

Hopefully you don't have to do a frankstein clutch. You might have to do something like use the r154 clutch spline but mate it to a 3uz pressure plate. Good thing is southbend can make any clutch you need

I am using a 3vz truck flywheel on my 1uz. You will need to do some machining to it.
First you'll deed a machine shop drill the fw holes out ward less than1/8 of an inch, basically give them the auto flex plate spacer and tell them to drill existing holes to match, then tell them to shave the back side 1.5 times the amount of the flex plate spacer.(this so your starter gear reaches the flywheel ring gear)
And lastly your ring gear on your flywheel needs to be pushed back towards the block closer to starter and you're done.
Don't forget to get longer arp studs for mr2 or Toyota v6 manual, also using mr2 turbo racing clutch kit by exedy daikin, good stuff...

I think he has the flywheel from the kit, but just didn't know what clutch pressure plate combo to buy.

all w and r series transmissions use the same basic format 21 spline 9-1/4" clutch disc.
even the 3sgte me2 uses the same disc!

and here's the real info on machining the flywheel. I've posted it on here in the past.
you take a 3vz flywheel, you machine everything off the back 1/8"from the ring gear.
then machine the bolt pattern to 1.575R with a 7/16" endmill.
