If you have changed out the cluster and the sensor, is there anything else? You have done all the troubleshooting that I can think of, but I still say it is a ground issue somewhere. If you find a loose ground, it should make the sensor work. The only thing I can think of is to switch out the temp gauge itself on the cluster that it is sitting pegged hot.

I dont have any but just try and see where all the wires go. Pull and tug and see if anything changes.

latest adventure of the gauge....
burped coolant system
let car run with no coolant leak
looked inside car and needle was pegged at hot
took a ride and the needle read normal
went a couple of miles and temp gauge started wavering between cold and normal
then...
shot up to hot and stayed there
think im gonna pull the cluster and check it but i have no idea what im looking for

HELP!!!!!

Ecu temp sensor has nothing to do with the cluster function. Your problem is not similar to the one in this thread. And I already told you in your thread what needs to be where.

We can test your gauge cluster, but like everyone else said it doesn't sound like a cluster problem.
