Default Preference for cabin air filter? (Denso (OE) vs Beck/Arnley)

I can get the Beck/Arnley filter for $26.98:
Beck Arnley 042-2116 Cabin Air Filter for select Lexus SC300/SC400 models : Amazon.com : Automotive Beck Arnley 042-2116 Cabin Air Filter for select Lexus SC300/SC400 models : Amazon.com : Automotive

The Denso (OE manufacturer, presumably the same as the dealer part) is $33.87:
Denso 453-1003 First Time Fit Cabin Air Filter for select Lexus SC300/SC400 models : Amazon.com : Automotive Denso 453-1003 First Time Fit Cabin Air Filter for select Lexus SC300/SC400 models : Amazon.com : Automotive

The one sold as Beck/Arnley "may be manufactured by an independent supplier." Generally, if i see that note with car parts, on Amazon, it turns out to be the cheapest (Chinese) brand part stuck in the packaging for a name brand, but it does have good reviews (the Denso filter does not have reviews).

If there's no difference, I might as well save $7, but if you think the Denso filter may provide superior filtration or superior flow, I don't mind paying more.

If it's worth it, I'll pay even more, for a dealer part, but Denso is the OEM, and while that doesn't always mean OEM part, with something like an air filter, I suspect it is.

Any suggestions?

(I know $7 isn't really a big deal, but in this case, it's over 25% more, and could buy me a pretty decent lunch.)

Also, does anyone happen to know if the filter will require modification to fit my '93 SC400? I know modifications are needed for '92s, but I can't seen to find out if it's just '92. I don't know the build date, off hand, but my '93 was made in '92 (dealer PDI completed in December '92).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I'll do that.

Does anyone know if (early-ish) '93 needs modifications to fit?
