Default Swap woes

We'll guys don't ever buy someone else's project lol.

I bought a sc300 in shambles with a 1j out of the car. I put a cage in and some other stuff never messed with any wiring and now I have horrible wiring issues. I can get power to the gauges, the door locks don't work the controller just clicks, no blinkers or corner lights. I'm hoping somehow these are connected? I've been working on it for about a month now between that and trying to make the motor run right without cutting out.

I had a bad ecu I finally figured that out and it a new one and it ran ok but would have a miss at idle and still cut out in the midrang the clear up and pull good. I have a hks fcd wired in I just recently tried adjusting it I had it kept at norm and as I adjust it the car ran worse. So I took it out thinking maybe it was bad and hooked the wire back up and now it runs even worse. Cuts out bad at about 3psi. Idles ok timin jumps around a little and has a slight miss. I am at my wits end with this car I'm not sure what to do anymore. I've checked all grounds there good all fuses are good but some in under dash fuse box don't get power at all like the one for the gauges.

Maybe I can post videos of it running I don't know. I hate to post the basket case question because I know there's so much info missing but I'm not sure what else to do right now. This car is a nightmare
If Nyone car help I appreciate it a ton. Or if anyone is near central oregon to come check it it out I doubt it though.
Thanks for any help guys

I would try to find a tuner shop that specializes in wiring jobs. Preferably ones with toyota experience (1j, 2j)

The closest tuner shop is 3 hours away I'm out I no mans land.
I have a friend who is a Toyota mechanic that's all they do is Toyota and next week I start working at the Toyota dealership in service so between the 2 hopefully things will get sorted out.

I was just thinking it runs better when it's cold and as it warms up it gets worse and worse I wonder if my coil packs have cracks in them and as they warm up from the motor the arc into the head easier? I checked them all and found a crack in one and taped in as a temp fix. I heard nail polish works pretty good?
It feels to me like fuel cut though.

I might try a new body harness I was watching a volt gauge and it kept fluctuating I have a sc400 parts car I steal the harness. Really don't want to do that though lol

If you can send the harness off to someone on here who specialize in wiring. Thats what I would do. Less headache and such. I hate wiring period but you have to have patients to begin with. Does the check engine light work and is there any codes?

Sorry to hear about your wiring issues, sounds like you bought someone's else hack job...it's water under the bridge now! If I was you I would do as others stated and send in your harness to a specialists...easier on you, plus these guys are very familiar with these swaps. I'll pm you their contact info, because I'm not sure if I can post this openly on the forum. While your harness is being sent off, I'd futher check out the condition of the swap-either way, there's ton of information as well as knowledgeable members that are always willing to help out?

I can't check the codes because I can't get power to the gauges. I lose power in the under dash fuse box. As far as sending the harness off I'm all for it the problem is I'm getting married June 1st and can't really spend a bunch if money right now or my fiancé won't be vary happy with me lol. I would really love to deve off I my sc though after te wedding. So depending on the price I would love to do that.
Thanks for the contact info lilscsteve. And thank you everyone for posting and helping me out I appreciate it alot. I'm going to get ahold of those guys about the harness work.

I have to make fun of myself a little but here lol. I take te car out again and it dies in the road. Can't figure it out and hits me......maybe it's out of gas lol. My gauges don't work I didn't think I was that low. I'm glad it was something simple but I feel like a retard at te same time. Now I just gotta fix my gauges and turn signals and I'm good.

Took it to the DMV today to have it registered and all that, drove it there with no plates lol, and they were closed. So no driving for me this weekend

So it was just out of gas? LOL probably the easiest fix ever. That's good you got it running and didn't spend tons of money trying to figure out what was wrong.

HAHAHHAHa

This went from costing at least $300-500 to costing nothing.

From what I've looked up resister 109 is for the tack. I havoc no power to anything in my gauge cluster at all nothing works.

Ya lol. It's always the simple things you over look. The weird thing is I could drive it around no problem but as soon as I got on it it cut out, for a while it did that . I feel kinda retarded but relieved at the same time
