94 SC400 trans replacement

Hi guys I've searched and can't find an answer. My trans went out on my 94 SC400. There are two trans options for the 94 (thru 1/94 and after 2/94). I have a production date of 9/93 I was wonering if the later model (2/94 and after) trans will work because I have acess to on of those. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!
