Default Progressive power steering delete....is it possible?

I've got a 94 sc300 that I bought without the engine. I bought it from a friend who's decided to put the 1jzge into his FD3S RX-7 for his 2013-14 drift car. He's more or less worried he may fry the power steering pump not running the progressive power steering. Is it possible? Help ASAP is appreciated.

The PPS isn't for pump longevity, it's a high-speed handling feature. Running without it is fine.
