Default Lost a quart of oil in two days...

Last Friday my oil pressure light started coming on at every startup, so Sunday I checked it and I was a quart and a half low. I added 10w30 Mobil one thinking I should be good. So this morning I got in the lex and was on my way to work two blocks away and the light was on. So I checked and I've lost a quart in two days... What the ****?! I haven't checked the pan yet but I don't know what could cause this. Does anyone have an idea? :/

sc3 or sc4? throw some cardboard under the car and check it in the morning, if you have oil on it you probably have a leak. If there are no leaks it could be an internal engine issue.

My thoughts exaclty. I would def be looking for the leak or something more internal. Keep an eye on the oil.

Rear main seal?

When those go, they tend to empty the oil pan fast.

See that's the things, I park on concrete at work and I see no oil at all on the ground, the plastic cover can't be catching all of it. Also, another point to make is the oil is clean but my exhaust tips are charcoal black. I know the vss need replaced but there is no way I have burnt a quart. I'll get home tonight, remove the cover and put some cardboard down.

With the car running and at normal operating temp, open the oil fill cap and see if its huffing air/oil residue. GL.

Check the coolant overflow tank.

My dad had a Volvo years ago, he started losing significant amounts of oil. Then one day, coolant reservoir was a milkshake.

Ill try both of those and see. What am I specifically looking for when I open the fill cap? I thought that would create a vacuum and kill it. Ill double check the coolant overflow and radiator cap. Didn't look bad a couple.days ago. Looked pretty fresh.

It will be puffing air/ oil residue out the fill hole.

I had no oil/air residue puffing out, the fill hole is EXTREMELY dirty though. Also had no oil on the ground either so far...

when was the last time the oil was changed? seems like a lot of oil to burn through without noticing. Anything leaking on the engine that you can see (valve cover gaskets, etc.)?

It's going somewhere for sure. Eventually it'll show itself. To burn oil in that short of a distance is ALOT.

You're not shooting smoke out the tail pipe are out? Or smell burning oil while driving or when you're getting out the car?

Stock 2JZ-GE. I know my VSS are leaking, I stated that earlier but I also said that was alot of oil to just be burning.
I still dont have any dripping on the ground under the car. However, I did notice that it looks as though its seeping around the pan and rear main seal. If its leaking this much wouldn't it just start dripping?????

or is the combination of VSS and leaks using it all?
