Default drive belt snapped now pulley arm wont move

My drive belt snapped the other day so I went out to get a new belt...come to find out my pulley bearings went out so I went and got another wheel from at and just bought the whole wheel bc they didnt carry just the bearings...so got that n came back to install the new belt....sigh now the pulley arms wont budge..I cant get the bet in...any suggestions? need sum asap...gotta interview tommorow but no car

try a breaker bar for more leverage and put some muscle into it

Is it not going to break anything?does the pulley not have to have a certain torque?(just trying to be safe aint got the time n money for any other issues)

If you are trying to move the belt tensioner pulley, you should be OK. Put some weight on it, theres a heavy spring that keeps that arm from moving.

Putting some pressure should not harm the tensioner

Right, ive replaced the pulley now im trying to get the belt on, and the tensioner should b released if I put a little more pressure on(with the pulley already tighten)right?
