Default sc300 1jzgte problem help

hey guys this is my first post on club lexus so be easy on me lol

I recently just swapped a soarer 1jzgte engine r154 transmission and soarer harness into my sc300 its runs and drives barely, it misfires and wont go over 3000rpm on load the idle isn't the smoothest either and sometimes dies i am going nuts trying to figure out whats wrong

ive done the following
new plugs ngk copper gaped .30
changed the coil packs
i checked my ecu no leaking caps and doesn't smell burnt

the only thing i could think of is maybe i hit limp mode or something

Do a search on 3000rpm 1JZ. This is a known problem.

is your check engine light hooked up? one of the ECU's inputs are probably not hooked up or not working properly. See if your ECU has any codes stored and if that doesn't work check your MAP and TPS.

and don't take the other posts the wrong way, we get people like you asking the same questions over and over. The good thing about internet forums is that someone more than likely has had the same problem before and has documented his fix either on here or on other forums. Use the search function or google it and see what turns up.

thank you very much, the write up you did on the 95-97 is amazing that took a long time diagnosing and solving it, and i really appreciate the feed back i got in such little time

any chance you would have a link or write up on how to check for codes ?

www.google.com

use them typing fingers of yours and find it. You might find that the answer comes faster than waiting for someone else to answer it.

I shall now take leave of this thread..........

check timing and check the wire to your map sensor, the wires sometime rot out due to old age.

update
i bought a new ecu and i am still getting the same problem but its now a missfire and hesitates but now it will go to redline
it sounds like its running out of gas or a coil pack blew

i drove the car to get gas and cleared the ecu and now iam stuck with 13 and 52
i am getting 13because my tach isnt hooked up yet

52 i belive is a knock senor maybe a broken wire or bad knock sensor

You don't get a code because your tach isn't hooked up. Like absolutely positively no way. Code 13 suggests a problem with the crank/cam sensors. I would verify the wiring is correct first by continuity, then verify the sensors are good.
