Question Link to Sc400 tune up DIY?

Hello,
Great Site!
I searched your maintenance section LIKE CRAZY for a DIY for giving the Sc400 a tune-up.
Unless I am searching wrong, I cannot find one.

I have never done this and I want to make sure I don't render my car inoperable. Can anyone point me to where you guys keep a good basic one?

This is full of info on tune-ups and such, it has the same engine so it's almost the same with ours with very minimal differences for pre-VVTi 1UZ's. Good luck.

Thank You King Phillip!

Unless I am totally not understanding what i was looking at, in this tutorial It seems like to do this tune up (caps and rotors in particular) I am almost all the way to the water pump and timing belt. Did I misunderstand something? I had no idea the radiator, fan etc. had to come out for a tune up.

I may just wait and let someone do my timing belt and do the rotors and caps at that time.

I feel my confidence in doing this slipping away.. ;-)

If you're looking at just doing as far as the rotors and caps, all you need to do is remove the plastic covers from the top of the engine and front - which covers the timing belt, then you'll be able to access the distributor. It has tabs on both the rotor and pulley to make sure you don't put it back the other way around.
