Default Weird power steering leak during tranny replacement

So I'm going through the drill to replace the shredded transmission in a '93 SC400 I've acquired.
Apparently, previous owners weren't keen on maintenance.
At any rate, while lowering the transmission VERY slightly to reach those damnable upper bell housing bolts, I noticed power steering fluid POURING from an area that looks like it's where the hoses go into the reservoir, or possibly the vacuum valve.
Has anyone ever encountered this strangeness before?
