Default Replace Wheel Bearing or the Entire Hub?

My wheel bearing on my front driver side is starting to squeel and I know that replacing the bearing is a really difficult job, not to mention I can't break the bolt loose that holds the bearing in to save my life. So I was wondering if replacing the entire hub would be a better route?

I have the same problem but mine is on the rear. I havent tackled mine yet but plan on it this week. I might let you know what I decided if you still need help. I am ordering the bearing tomorrow.

Not really a hard job but you will need an impact to get the nut loose, If you need a good replacement let me know as I am going to the yard and there is an sc300 with 62k miles on it in there that I have been stripping of its parts, They charge 65.00 for the whole knuckle plus it's Florida car so 0 rust

The front knuckles are about all that is left now.

I keep hearing that you need a press to pull and replace the wheel bearings in these cars. Is that true?

the bearing must be pressed in and out. Any machine shop can do it for cheap, most was 40 for bearing and 15 to have it pressed it. I originally replaced the bearing in the hub but i guess i neglected it toooooo long and ovaled my hub slightly. So the new bearing wore out in like 3 months. So i bought a used complete hub with good bearing. Had a NEW bearing pressed into that and had the hub cleaned up. I sold the car like a year later but i didnt have any issues.

Just rent a pitman arm puller kit. I can't tell you how many times I've rented the kit from the Advance Auto Parts down the street from my house. They don't even charge me for it anymore cause they trust Ill bring it back.
