Default Help me identify where this noise is coming from

Having a hard time determining where the noise is coming from. The only thing I've changed is the A/C compressor with a newer, used, "working" one. It was quiet when I first installed it, but noise has developed. Not sure if it is related to the compressor, I can't replicate it when engine is not running. EDIT: Crank Pulley?

Thanks

crank pulley would make more of a squeal sound usually. when its running is everyhting aligned? does the crank pulley look wobbly at all?

^nothing looks wobbly at all. This is so confusing, it's probably the a/c compressor

Remove the belt and start the car to verify it is NOT the engine, in case.

With the belt on, carefully see if any pulley is vibrating or wobbling. When I had cars with similar problems, it is usually the idler/ tensioner pulley. Don't forget you have one for the timing belt, too. My friend had a car where the tensioner was screwed and the timing belt, although it didn't run like crap, was flapping and hitting the timing cover.

It could be a rise of another problem by coincidence, not the AC.

^ Good point. I'm sure the car will be fine for a few seconds of no alternator, power steering, or fan belt

Yea, it's not a problem unless you run it until it gets hot or lose power. Hope you find out the problem
