Default The cheapest/easiest way for more HP??

I was wanting to know the easiest way to gain HP. It could be in; small ways or in major ways, but any info/advice would help. Cheaper perferably, but as we all know, you get what you pay for!!! So if gets expensive then... oh well.

Price is relative:

from my experience,... intake/exhaust/apex SAFC.... guaranteed bang for buck combo.

Weight reduction can go a long way too, and it is the cheapest out of every other mod!

No2 is your best 'bang for the buck' .....hands down.
If you want a drag car start with a better platform, these are very heavy cars.

Absolutely, pull some weight out, and a little bit of spray, with a converter (automatic) or clutch (5spd), and gut the cats or replace with a higher flowing monolith catalyst, and you're on your way. Em, these cars may be heavy for drag action, but the power potential of the 2JZ more than makes up for it, and the weight over the rear wheels helps the traction situation alot. Ebanks turned a 1.5 short time on stock suspension on his first run with ET Streets, sounds like a good platform to me......

heres my 2 cents. i just did my first mod, i installed a UNORTODOX racing crank pulley (underdrive), and cant believe the difference. the get up and go got alot quicker! the cool thing is i did it myself, it only took 2-3 hours, and UNORTHODOX RACING has them on special for $119.00 regularly $235.00.

hit me up if you want the paticulars on the install.

Just a quick question for the more knowledgable on this board. I've heard that when putting underdrive pulleys on there is a tradeoff like the ac and stuff isnt as strong? is this true..

i havent noticed a single difference. i even checked the charging system at full usuage (everything on) and it didnt even decrease the charging system.

the only thing that the manufacturer said was that if you are running a sound system, of 600 watts or higher, you'll have charging problems.

sc300vb,

What tools, belt, and other items do you need to do this mod?

I am interested in doing this and then writing up a step-by-step how to.

Thanks

very easy to do.

you need a smaller belt
the new pulley
two large pry bars
a large breaker bar with a 22mm socket
and finally some loctite

it only took about 2-3 hours to do, and i wasnt working really fast at it.
